A resident of Burhanpur, Madhya Pradesh, Anand Prakash Chouksey has built a home that replicates the Taj Mahal
He constructed the home for his wife. He gifted her this beautiful home as an ode to his everlasting love for her.
Mr Chouksey and his wife visited the Taj Mahal in Agra to study its architecture and then instructed their team of engineers to build a replica of the monument.
The house was built over a period of 3 years as engineers carefully designed and structured the home on the basis of a 3D image of Taj Mahal.
The home is a four-bedroom house with spectacular interiors. The house also has a hall, meditation room, library and a kitchen. The dome is 29 feet high.
The flooring of the home has been done with ‘Makrana’ marbles which was the same marble Taj Mahal was built with. That marble has now been declared as a Global Heritage Stone.
Mr Chouksey also wondered why Taj Mahal wasn’t built in his city, Burhanpur because Shah Jahan’s wife Mumtaz Mahal, for whom he had built Taj Mahal, had died in Burhanpur.
Mr Chouksey is elated with his achievement and is positive that every tourist will surely come to visit it when in Burhanpur.
