MONEY HEIST

'La Casa de Pape' which originally premiered in May 2017, almost faced the axe due to falling ratings. However, the show was picked up by a streaming giant and is now set for its fifth and final heist.

GAME OF THRONES

Long before it became a global phenomenon, Game Of Thrones was nearly dropped because of its 'bad' pilot episode. Sophie Turner revealed that the team had to reshoot the pilot to save the show.

FAMILY GUY

The eight-time Emmy Award-winning show was cancelled in 2003. However, the success of its reruns and DVD sales drove the network to revive the adult cartoon in 2005.

FRIENDS

Studio bosses reportedly 'hated' the pilot of 'Friends' back in 1994 and thought the show was doomed for catering to a young audience with "moderately likeable" characters.

BAYWATCH

Worldwide hit series Baywatch enjoyed its run on the beach for more than a decade but had it not been for David Hasselhoff, the show would have nearly shut down due to poor ratings.

THE BIG BANG THEORY

Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning show The Big Bang Theory had to be piloted twice before being picked up in 2007 and ran for 12 successful seasons.

PARKS AND RECREATION

This sitcom was criticized for being too similar to 'The Office' and was almost cancelled after its first season. A shift in its approach lead to the show going on for 7 seasons and winning a Golden Globe Award.

COMMUNITY

Despite its critical acclaim, the series came dangerously close to being dropped in the middle of its third season. However, fans eventually succeeded in pressing for a renewal.
