Apple Music has
raised the subscription price of its student plan in the US, UK, and Canada
Increasing in price
from $4.99 to $5.99 /M in the US & Canada, UK users can expect a similar jump from £4.99 to £5.99 /M
Apple hasn’t acknowledged
it yet, but the new pricing is currently available on Apple Music’s webpage
Implementation of this plan
is still unclear but as 9to5Mac points out, it was likely rolled out sometime b/w June 21st & 23rd
Apple Music’s student plan
was previously the most affordable full-featured plan on offer.
Pricing for the
$9.99 / month individual and $14.99 / month family plans remain unchanged.
Students might look to
the voice plan which offers more limited access to Apple Music, as you can only control it through Siri.
Last month, Apple quietly
upped the subscription across several countries, including Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Israel, and Kenya
