Jerome John Garcia (August 1, 1942 – August 9, 1995) was an American artist lyricist, and guitarist, most popular for being a chief musician, the lead guitarist, and a performer with the musical crew the Grateful Dead, of which he was an establishing part and which came to noticeable quality during the nonconformity of the 1960s.
